Richard Bagguley's approach to
portraits is distinct in that he wants them to live and
tell a story, the painting above is a portrait of the
author Clifford Thurlow a successful ghost
writer.
It started as a simple head and shoulders portrait but went
on to include the books he had written which started to
have a life of their own, his long term partner Iris Gioia
also makes an appearance. This is not only portrait it's
living history.
